Dopo l’onda del successo riscosso dall’ultimo album degli Anathema “The Optimist”, la nomination come “Album dell’anno” ai Progressive Music Awards del 2017 e un lungo tour che li ha visti anche protagonisti in alcuni festival, Daniel Cavanagh ristampa il suo album solista “Monochrome” che ora include quattro nuove registrazioni in studio con due nuove versioni acustiche (ASCOLTA “THE SILENT FLIGHT OF THE RAVEN WINGED HOURS (ACOUSTIC)” QUI) e due inediti, “Found” e “Scandinavia”, in una nuova edizione speciale dell’album intitolata “Monochrome/Colour”.

Ispirato da sentimenti di amore e perdita, “Monochrome” è un lavoro profondamente riflessivo e personale. Cavanagh commenta: “L’album trasmette una sensazione da notte fonda, a lume di candela che evoca la luce del crepuscolo mentre il sole estivo sprofonda sotto l’orizzonte, ponendo in scena pensieri e meditazioni con cui molte persone si relazioneranno”.

Insieme a Cavanagh in “Monochrome” troviamo anche Anneke Van Giersbergen, che dopo The Gathering, ha cantato con Devin Townsend, Árstíðir, Anathema e Arjen Lucassen e l’eccezionale talento di Anna Phoebe che suona il violino in tre dei brani dell’album. Registrato ai premiati Grammy Award Parr Street Studios da Andrea Wright, masterizzato da Daniel Cardoso degli Anathema e illustrato da Danny Branscombe, questo album è una release speciale per la famiglia Kscope.
