Dopo aver pubblicato il loro miglior album, “War Of Being”, i TesseracT invitano ancora una volta i fan a vivere un’intensa esperienza d’ascolto con il nuovo singolo “Echoes”. Domani la band darà il via al suo più lungo tour in Nord America, portando gli ascoltatori direttamente nel mondo di “The Strangeland”. Il tour si svolgerà dal 5 ottobre in North Carolina fino al 13 novembre al Brooklyn Bowl di Nashville, Tennessee.

Il brano “Echoes” arriva con un impatto devastante: i riff di chitarra si scontrano con la batteria poliritmica, lasciando spazio a fluide linee di basso, accompagnate da una performance vocale tanto fragile quanto brillante. Il brano giunge poi al gran finale, dove le scosse di groove si diffondono negli ascoltatori. È il prologo perfetto per comprendere la relazione tra El e The Scribe. 

A proposito del brano, Daniel Tompkins ha dichiarato quanto segue: “Il concept di Echoes si basa su alcuni dei nostri personaggi principali, El e The Scribe. Questi due svolgono un ruolo fondamentale nel concept e nel gioco, poiché The Scribe è una parte frammentata dell’ego di El che ha la capacità di controllare il destino e riscrivere il passato“. 
Dan continua: “Questa è sempre stata una canzone che colpisce a fondo e aggiunge una vera dinamica all’album. Come brano a sé stante emana sentimenti contrastanti, dalla massima euforia, alla disperazione più profonda. C’è un vero senso di frustrazione e di rimpianto, soprattutto quando la canzone culmina con la sua brutale apertura“.

Il video visualiser, creato da Asiel Manuel Rodriguez Espinosa (@ asiel_type), ci trasporta in altri strati dal misterioso mondo di “The Strangeland”. Passa da tranquille pianure lunari a rovine infuocate, portando con sé gli ascoltatori in un altro mondo. 

Ora, per la prima volta, la band porterà The Strangeland dal vivo con in un tour mondiale. I TesseracT hanno aperto la strada al loro ritorno con il brano “War Of Being”, una vera e propria dichiarazione d’intenti della durata di 11 minuti con l’annuncio di un tour mondiale, seguito da “The Grey”, che ha portato i fan direttamente nel mondo di “The Strangeland”.

‘War Of Being’ è stato registrato presso i Middle Farm Studios nel Regno Unito con Peter Miles (Architects/Sylosis/Dodie) che ha co-prodotto con la band insieme a Katherine Marsh dei Choir Noir (Bring Me The Horizon / Architects / Marillion). Al programming e alla produzione si è aggiunto Randy Slaugh (Periphery, Architects, Devin Townsend). L’additional engineering è stato curato da Forrester Savell (Karnivool). L’artwork, che presenta i caratteri “ex” ed “el”, è stato creato in collaborazione tra l’IA e l’uomo come mezzo per estendere il concetto nella sua presentazione.
